Lawsuit filed against Boar's Head

A Queens resident files a class-action lawsuit against Boar’s Head following a massive recall of the brand’s products over listeria concerns.

The lawsuit was filed late last week.

It claims the woman bought Boar’s Head ham from her local Shoprite store and was not informed of the possible contamination. She did not become ill from the product.

So far, cases of listeria have been reported in 13 states with more than 30 hospitalizations and 2 deaths.

Listeria causes severe food poisoning symptoms.

All Boar’s Head products manufactured at the company’s Virginia plant are affected by the recall.

Customers should discard the affected products or return them for a refund.
