Several of his former clients have reported him to the police or sued him – they believe he took payment without doing the promised work.

– He said that I should pay in advance to show that I was serious. He said he would come back, he never came back, says Mattias Larsson, former client.

The clients also have in common that Soheil Naderi seems to be going up in smoke. He stops answering emails and blocks their phone numbers. In some cases, he has claimed that he was abroad and can no longer deal with their case – but without repaying the money.

Paid hundreds of thousands of kroner

SVT Nyheter Skåne has taken part in police reports, lawsuits in court and reports to ARN, the General Claims Board.

There are people who have paid anything from five thousand to hundreds of thousands of kroner to Soheil Naderi in the hope of getting help in legal matters.

SVT has found close to 30 cases where clients turned to various authorities after they felt they had been cheated out of money by Soheil Naderi. Twelve of those who fought against Soheil Naderi have been given the right to get their money back in an official decision.

Don’t want to comment

At least another twelve clients have reported Soheil Naderi to the police for fraud, but without the reports leading to any charges.

Sohiel Naderi has not wanted to comment on the clients’ accusations. But in documents you can read that he usually means that it is the client who cheated or that they paid too little. In some cases, he writes that he does not know who the client is.

– I could never have dreamed that a lawyer could deceive people, says Margareta, who hired Soheil Naderi in 2020.

Soheil Naderi has never been convicted of any crime.
