The State Judiciary and the Government of Coahuila unveiled this Wednesday, in a symbolic way and during the annual activity report of the presiding magistrate Miguel Mery Ayup, the laying of the first stone of the building that will house the Judicial City of Saltillo.

The project will be built on a 20,000-square-meter property, granted by the State Government, which is located to the east of Saltillo, on Fundadores Boulevard.

The investment will be 50 million pesos from the state and just over 100 million pesos from the Judiciary itself.

10 thousand 500 square meters have been designated to the spaces for the administration of justice. The property will house the civil, family, commercial and labor courts, where 60,000 cases were handled last year.

In addition, 14 hearing rooms and 15 mediation rooms were projected; a training room and a multipurpose room for 200 people. An area for processing files and another for coworking.

The judges will have their functional offices in this property. The Mayor’s Office moves to this new building, as well as the Labor Conciliation Center and the Psychosocial Evaluation Centers, which served 31,000 people in the last year.
