Leader of Man assures that he does not want to collaborate with Bad Bunny

MIAMI.- The vocalist and leader of the Mexican band Man, Fernando Olvera, He broke the silence about the styles to which the group has opened up during its 42 years of history to keep its music current. However, he noted that doing a collaboration with a reggaeton player, and specifically Bad Bunnyit’s not in their plans.

In an interview he gave to El Mundo de España, the Rayando el Sol interpreter commented that his son Dal suggested he venture into the genre with the aim of the band continuing to achieve success. However, Fher, as he is commonly known, was not amused by the advice.

“He’s telling me that I should play a little reggaeton to become internationally famous. I tell my son that I’m not going to do anything with Bud Bunny,” he declared.

Rejection of gender

In the musician’s opinion, the language used in current music is not to his liking and he does not celebrate that Latin music is currently identifiable by expressions that he considers vulgar.”

We are invaded by reggaeton. It is unfortunate, yes, because reggaeton has invaded our Latin music stages. The language of reggaeton has a sexy part, but it also falls into vulgarity. It’s about not having a little bit of time, dedication, ingenuity or creativity to do something better,” he highlighted.

Olvera also noted that many songs also express violence, something with which he does not identify. “I think they are not putting much effort into the lyrics. Some are too violent and I really don’t like them. Most of their singers, not all, have little talent.”

“Maybe I’m getting old,” I joked.

Finally, he added that if there is a figure within the urban industry that he finds incredible, it is Rosala, whom he admires and aspires to be able to work together.

“He does impressive things. He makes you crazy. We are going to try to incorporate some flamenco because we have a little indigenous blood, a little Aztec and a little Spanish,” he concluded.
