There is a week left before the verdict of Justice for the crime of Lucio Dupuy is known. The defendants are his mother, Magdalena Espósito, and her partner, Abigaíl Páez.
In the last hours, a truly horrifying proof of what the 5-year-old boy lived in La Pampa, in the custody of his mother and the couple, was known. Among the more than 100 witnesses who came forward to testify, the stories of two neighbors of the house in question were key.
Both reported that it was “constant” to listen to music at full volume in Lucio’s house. Both the prosecution and the complaint agreed that it was a strategy of the women so that the screams would not be heard.
On August 25, two months before the victim’s death, a key event occurred for the case, when the verdict was handed down. One of the neighbors shared with the court a screenshot of a chat with her brother.
There, the neighbor in question asks her relative to call the police since her cell phone was broken. The reason was “because they are hitting the boy next door”. When her brother asks her “which baby?”, her answer was: “The one next door. On top of that I can’t record anything. Every day he arrives from the garden and the girlfriend of the baby’s mother shits him with sticks ”.
The mistreatment reached such a point that the entire neighborhood witnessed it. “I hit the wall because you can hear everything from my room and on the street too,” the conversation continued. The man informed him that a patrol car was on the way.
Later, even without the presence of the security forces, the neighbor told her relative that she heard “Take off his clothes and beat him up. Leave it marked because I’ll kill it.” However, she could not realize which of the two defendants was telling the other.
Sadly, on that occasion the police did not arrive and, two months later, the country heard the news of the death of the 5-year-old boy in La Pampa. According to what Daniel Guinchinau, Pampas police chief, declared, the help did not arrive because the management was misinformed.
