Sometimes fairy tales can come true!

Little Valentina (9) ventures onto the show stage on Friday evening „The Voice Kids“to captivate the coaches at the blind auditions with Status quo’s song “Rockin’ All Over The World.” So far, she has regularly organized disco evenings with her mother – or sang to her stuffed animals. Valentina owns more than 400 pieces, calls herself the “Mayor of Cuddly Toy House”.

So singer Lena Meyer-Landrut (31) comes up with a very special idea to lure the young talent into her team. She kidnaps her into the realm of fairy tales and reads her from the “Chronicles of Lenania”. A self written fairy tale.

Lena begins: “Once upon a time there was a land far, far away called Aldershofen. Four terrible dwarfs lived there: Alvatros, Schmuddel and Stichi and the beautiful Muskulus. ”This means, of course, Lena’s coach colleagues Alvaro Soler (32), Smudo (55) and Michi Beck, (55), as well as Wincent Weiss (30). Aldershofen means “The Voice Kids” studio in Berlin Adlershof.

But who wants to be on the team with evil dwarfs?

The fairy tale goes on and Lena becomes clearer: “Alvators was actually from distant Spain and had traveled a lot in his life. He often told how many countries he had traveled to. He knew Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Deutonic and English. He also had to show how many instruments he could play every day. Everyone always had to say “great” so that Alvatros wasn’t offended.”

A clear, ironic tip against colleague Alvarao Soler!

But what holds Lena Meyer-Landrut really from fairy tales? Lena: “As a child I liked to hear, read and have fairy tales read to me. Very different stories, on the one hand well-known fairy tales like Snow White, but also very old fairy tales.” Her grandmother read them to her.

As the mother of a small son (2), Lena also says: “I find fairy tales really cool, but it’s also crazy how scary they actually are. When you watch the original Snow White fairy tale, you don’t really want to tell your kids that.”

She prefers to continue telling the fairy tale about the “The Voice Kids” coaches and Princess Lenania:

“Schmuddel and Stichi were two wise old brothers. They loved to joke about themselves and others, were always loud and had one great passion: rhyming. They could rhyme so FANTASTIC that they were known all over the world. No one was quick to imitate them. And they always bragged about it, which annoyed the others terribly…”

Can Lena’s fairy tale convince Valentina to join her team? Fans of the show will find out on Friday evening (Sat.1, 8:15 p.m.).
