Los Angeles (USA), Apr 20 (EFE).- Kawhi Leonard, leader of the Los Angeles Clippers, will miss this Thursday the third game of the first round series of the NBA West playoffs for a knee problem, reported the angelina franchise.
Leonard, who missed all of last season with a cruciate injury, has a sore right knee and the Clippers won’t push to avoid the risk of bigger problems.
The two-time MVP of the NBA Finals had been the overall leader of the Clippers in Phoenix in the first two games of the series, which is tied 1-1.
He scored 38 points in the first game, won by the Clippers, and signed 31, with eight rebounds and seven assists in the second, which ended with a victory for the Suns.
Leonard’s loss adds to that of Paul George, who suffered a hyperextended knee and will miss the first-round series.
