When their North American branch was cut off in 2020, Level-5 chose to stop releasing games outside of Japan. Now it seems that they will once again start releasing games in the West. The studio, behind game series such as Ni no Kuni, Yo-Kai Watch and Professor Layton, has namely written in a job ad on their website that they are once again looking at developing globally.

“With the recent globalization of the game business, we are looking for people to maximize the business scale as a content holder and actively develop Level-5’s IP not only in Japan but also on a global scale.”

Could this lead to us seeing Yo-kai Watch 4 in the West? It was confirmed that a translation of the game was already underway in 2019, but when the company shut down in North America, this was put on hold. Even the five-year-delayed Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes now has a chance to be released in the West. They also told us a couple of weeks ago, as we reported, that they are working on a brand new game series. The studio also celebrates 25 years this year, so a return would be appropriate.

Will we see Yo-Kai Watch 4 in the West?
