LG will be introducing a ton of new devices at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. A press release has already given us a little foretaste of the upcoming soundbar models. The announcement focuses mainly on the SC9 and SE6 models.
LG installed the first “Triple Up-Firing Speaker” with “Triple Level Spatial Sound Technology”. It uses an HRTF-based 3D engine to analyze the sound and create a virtual new midrange. The new models also support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. WOW Ochestra is another technology that is said to provide better highs, more depth and power in the sound.
There is also a revised interface for controlling the soundbars in the home dashboard of your LG TV. LG is not yet naming prices for the devices, and the exact technical details remain open. But we will certainly learn a little more about that at CES.
