4. Klaus

With a name that makes reference to Santa Claus, the character of the eponymous feature is a strong and good-hearted builder who will teach the protagonist, Jesper, the importance of work and the magic of Christmas.

Directed by Sergio Pablos, the feature is a Netflix original work that was released in 2020 and mixes different animation methods, such as hand-drawn strokes and the well-known 2D technique.

To give voice to the characters, the film featured, in the Brazilian version, Rodrigo Santoro, Daniel Boaventura and Fernanda Vasconcellos.

3. Jack Skellington

One of the best Christmas movie characters is certainly Jack Skellington from the movie Jack’s wierd world?? Despite being the opposite of what is expected of a Christmas figure, he became an icon of the date.

In the film’s plot, Jack is a fantastic being who lives in Halloween Town, a place where all the inhabitants spend their time organizing Halloween for the following year. It turns out that Jack is tired of this reality and one day he decides to explore the city limits and wander through the forest.

As a result of its wanderings, the creature ends up crossing the Christmas portal and being enchanted by what it sees. When he returns home, he decides to kidnap Santa Claus to make his own Christmas; but, contrary to what he thought, this will not be a good idea.

Written by Tim Burton and released in 1993, the film has become a classic over the years. To bring the characters to life, the production featured Chris Sarandon, Danny Elfman and Catherine O’Hara.

2. The Grinch

It’s impossible to talk about iconic Christmas characters without mentioning The Grinch, the most anti-natal creature there is. He appears in the film of the same name, released in 2000, and creates a plan to prevent the inhabitants of Wholand from being able to celebrate the Happy Night.

Noisy, extravagant and owner of an acidic mood, the creature had everything to be hated, but managed to conquer the hearts of the public and be forever remembered at Christmas.

The film The Grinch was directed by Ron Howard and brought in the cast Taylor Momsen and Jeffrey Tambor, in addition to Jim Carrey (who voices the protagonist).
