The unions of liberal doctors asked Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne this Friday, January 27 “an additional financial envelope” to avoid “failure of negotiations” ongoing with Medicare, while announcing a new “closed offices” February 14th.

One month from the deadline, the negotiations are getting tough. A week after the “suspension” from their discussions with the Social Security, the six representative organizations of liberal doctors (CSMF, MG France, Avenir Spé, UFML, FMF and SML) are now calling on the head of government to unblock the situation.

In their joint letter to Elisabeth Borne, the presidents of these unions affirm that“an additional financial envelope is necessary to achieve the objectives set by the Minister of Health”François Braun, whose framing letter had kicked off the discussions at the end of October.

With a deadline at the end of February to conclude a new agreement setting in particular the prices of practitioners over the next five years, while allowing “access to a general practitioner for all”.

In the line of sight, a day of closure of medical offices – like the beginning of December and during the holidays – is scheduled for February 14, as well as a rally in front of the Senate where the disputed bill will be examined in session.
