A home in Milford, Connecticut was struck by lightning during the 4th of July storms.
Firefighters were called to the home amid the storms after receiving a report of a possible structure fire.
When they arrived, they said they found the house had been struck by lightning. There was significant damage to the chimney.
Crews used thermal imaging cameras to confirm that there was no active fire.
No injuries were reported.
