Military and Police Parade: This July 20, Colombia will celebrate its 213th anniversary of independence. In celebration of this holiday, there will be parades in many cities and municipalities of the country.

In Bogotá, the enlistment for the military parade that will take place around 11:00 a.m. in the north of the city.

What will the military parade be like in the cities?

In Bogotathe military parade will begin at 10:00 am and will extend along Boyacá Avenue, from 170th Street to 127th Street. The parade will include the participation of the Armed Forces, educational institutions and representatives of civil society.

In Medellinthe military parade will begin at 2:00 pm and will extend along Carrera 70, from the roundabout on Calle 1 with diagonal 75B to diagonal 74B (Avenida Bolivariana).

In it Coffee Axis, the parades will take place in the following cities: Manizales, Armenia and Pereira. The parades will begin at 10:00 am and will spread through the main streets of each city.

In Saint Andrewthe military parade, which will be attended by President Gustavo Petro, will begin at 7:30 am and will extend through the main streets of the island.

In Villavicenciothe parade will begin at 8:00 am and will extend along Avenida 40, one of the main thoroughfares of the city.

In Barranquillathe parade will begin at 4:00 pm and will extend along the Malecón, from the Shark’s Fin sector to the Events Center.

In Bucaramanga, The parade will begin at 7:00 am and will extend along Carrera 27, from La Puerta del Sol to the Mesón de los Búcaros.

In Tunja, The parade will begin at 8:30 am and will extend along Avenida Universitaria, from the Green Hills Center to the sector of the Gustavo Rojas Pinilla Military Canton.

In Santa Marta, there will be no military parade. However, there will be a military exhibition on July 30 that will start from the Santa Marta Port Society along Carrera 1, turning onto Calle 22 Avenida Santa Rita towards the old rumbódromo.

In Aracataca and Foundation, There will also be parades with the participation of local authorities and different educational institutions with the peace bands.
