On Sunday in Lochau the big carnival procession was held through the village (www.vol.at/gemeinde/lochau). As always, the large Hörbranz carnival guild was there again. Musically led by the Leiblachtaler Schalmeien, Princess Simone, Prince Hubert, their wonderful fluffy entourage, the Hörbranz Kindergarde, the Hörbranzer Raubritter, the Berger Harlekins and the Leiblacher Fetzahexa moved through the crowd of Mäschgerlen and carnival fans. Numerous Hörbranz residents were among the many visitors and lined the streets of Lochau. In the “hell” of the Leiblachtal shawms, carnival was extensively celebrated.
After an exhausting but successful and fun weekend with the guild ball in Lochau (www.vol.at/gemeinde/lochau). and the music ball in Hohenweiler (www.vol.at/gemeinde/hohenweiler), the Lochau parade was a perfect conclusion in perfect weather. The carnival guild starts the last days of carnival 2023 with a parade in Hörbranz, a children’s party in the Leiblachtal hall, a fool’s mass in the Hörbranz parish church and many other visits.
