The time has come, and now, the first little preview of the next remake of Lollipop Chainsaw.

For those unfamiliar, Lollipop Chainsaw is a 2012 hack and slash game that released on Xbox 360 and PS3 and follows a high school cheerleader as she takes out zombies with her boyfriend’s severed (but alive) head dangling. from his waist. This, which is a very silly game, was created by sweat51 and the director of Guardians of the Galaxy /DC Studios, James Gunn.

At the time, it received average reviews, but the game’s tone and aesthetics were highly praised and popular. However, it was confirmed last year that Lollipop Chainsaw would be getting a new version on modern platforms. Given that we’ve had cult classics remakes, certified bangers, and everything in between, it seems only fair that this gets its own remake as well.

It is planned to launch later this year, and now, thanks to the Twitter page of Dragami Games, we got a little glimpse of what the new version will look like. The company released an image to celebrate the new year and included a photo of the updated model of Juliet Starling.

Something that some users do not seem to have liked, since they disagreed with the new model, noting that it looks a little worse and even paler in comparison, losing a bit of color than it originally had.

Some also compared her new look to having her model wear “facetunes”, which is usually used for editing Instagram photos and can sometimes make facial features untextured and look unnaturally smooth.

But, we must not leave out that it might look better when we see the full game, so as of now, we have no idea when the new version of Lollipop Chainsaw will be released, just as it is also unclear when we will first see the game, but since Dragami Games is stirring up curiosity among players, so it might not be that far off.
