CDMX.- A few days after it was revealed that Bruce Willis has frontotemporal dementia, a source close to the actor’s family has shared with People what his plans are for the protagonist of Die Hard to have a full life.

Willis’s family wants the actor to stay active, as they want his body and mind to exercise daily.

“The goal they have with Bruce is to keep him active. He has a busy schedule with activities every day. They make sure that both his body and brain are exercised,” a source said.

His 44-year-old daughter Emma is trying to spend as much time with Bruce as she wants to have the best memories of him when he’s gone.

“The family is closer than ever, Emma wants them to remember Bruce as an amazing and fun dad. She wants them to have the best memories of him,” he added.

Demi Moore, Willis’s ex-wife, announced through her Instagram account that the actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and not aphasia, as was believed a few months ago.

“Since we announced Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, not communicating effectively is just one symptom of the disease. facing Bruce. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis,” he wrote.

Frontotemporal dementia is a disease that encompasses a group of brain disorders that mainly affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The condition is related to genetic mutations and risk factors such as family history.
