The sequel is titled “Lords of War” – which gives a hint in which direction the sequel is going. In it, arms dealer Yuri Orlov (Cage) finds out that he a son named Anton (played by “It” star Bill Skarsgård). And not only has he followed in his footsteps and also sells weapons, he also owns a large mercenary army fighting in the Middle East. However, father and son are not on good terms with each other, but bitter rivals, as Deadline writes. In addition, a fight breaks out between the two over a woman.

Andrew Niccol (“Gattaca”) is directing “Lords of War”, who already directed the first part. Also on board are Philippe Rousselet and Fabrice Gianfermi, who previously worked as producers on “Lord of War”. The pair won the 2022 Best Picture Oscar for Coda. It is not yet known when “Lords of War” will be released.

“Lord of War” received good reviews when it was released in 2005 and is therefore still regarded as a one of the best movies with Nicolas Cage. In addition to the Oscar winner, there are also stars such as Jared Leto (“Morbius”), Ethan Hawke (“The Black Phone”), Ian Holm (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy”) and Donald Sutherland (“Moonfall”) satirical drama.

Cage himself can be seen in cinemas from May 25th. The cult actor embodies the legendary vampire Count Dracula in the horror comedy “Renfield”. You can see the trailer for it here below.
