The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is bringing back its free summer program.

As summer vacation is just beginning for students across Los Angeles County, they will be able to access free lunches at Los Angeles city parks through the end of summer.

The free lunch program begins Tuesday and will be offered through Aug. 4 at more than 100 parks for kids 18 and younger.

No registration or proof of income required. All meals will be served at the locations on a first-come, first-served basis during regular park hours.

The US Department of Agriculture funds the program and aims to provide healthy meals to children while school is not in session. Lunches offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.
