Service along the B Branch of the Green Line has returned to normal after Monday’s streetcar derailment at Packard’s Corner in Allston.

Beginning in service Tuesday, shuttle buses would operate between the Kenmore and Washington Street stops of the Green Line Branch B to allow crews to work on the problem at Packard’s Corner, the MBTA announced around 4:30 a.m. am About an hour later, the MBTA announced that the shuttles would be phased out as regular service resumed.

The T said it expected the shuttles to last about an hour in service. The streetcars start running around 5:00 am at Boston College and around 5:45 am. on Park Street, the two ends of the branch.

Track conditions appeared to be to blame for Monday’s derailment, which was first reported by the MBTA just before 2:00 pm No one was injured during the incident.

The section of track in question was scheduled to be replaced this summer.
