Los Angeles teams reschedule Sunday games due to Hurricane Hilary

Los Angeles sports teams reschedule Sunday games in the wake of Hurricane Hilary.

The hurricane, which is forecast to weaken to a tropical storm when it reaches southern California, will bring rain Sunday through Monday.

In anticipation of predicted flooding and rain from the remnants of Hurricane Hilary, several Southern California sports teams announced schedule changes.

The changes come as Hurricane Hilary, a Category 4 system, is expected to hit Southern California as a tropical storm over the weekend.

The Dodgers announced that they will reschedule their game from Sunday to Saturday in a doubleheader against the Miami Marlins.

Originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon, the Dodgers announced they will move their game from August 20 to Saturday in a split doubleheader at Dodger Stadium. The first game is scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday and the second will take place as scheduled at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, the team said.

“Tickets and parking for Sunday, August 20, will be accepted at the 12:00 p.m. game on Saturday,” the Dodgers said in a statement. “For those who are unable to attend Saturday’s early game at the rescheduled time and purchased their tickets directly from the Dodgers, instructions will be sent to you next week on how to exchange your originally purchased ticket for a select future game this season.”

The stadium gates and parking lots will open at 10 am Saturday for the first game.
