The months go by and, as is to be expected, the relationship ceases to be just a carnal matter to become a sentimental and intimate approach that leaves them both on the verge of falling in love, until Betty’s state of mental health -increasingly about to be a mother for the second time – begins to worry Allan, who decides to put an end to the matter.
Abandonment is not easy for Candybut in the midst of the resigned search to rebuild her bond with her husband and to accept not being an object of forbidden desire, the signs that something happened between her and her ex-lover begin to see the light: from that moment, and with a construction that at times victimizes and seeks to justify the protagonist, each step becomes more feigned and delicate until Betty herself connects the dots and asks her friend if her suspicions were true.
A struggle, an ax and the supposed shot from a childhood trauma in the middle of the episode result in a tragedy that the apparently innocent and nice housewife tries to hide, although the Police will soon link her to the bloody homicide for which Justice he will try to put her behind bars.

Nevertheless, the strip inspired by the book “Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs”, by John Bloom and Jim Atkinson, is sustained mainly thanks to its cast and the nuances they bring to this network of secrets. , resentments and longings; as well as in a well-achieved setting that meets the production standards to which the HBO brand -in this case, Max Originals- has accustomed its audience.
Nicole Kidman and Per Saari, along with David E. Kelley, co-produce this series that also stars Elizabeth Marvel, Keir Gilchrist, Tom Pelphrey, Beth Broderick, Brian d’Arcy James and Bruce McGill on its cast.
