LOVE Island executive producer Mike Spencer has revealed why much of the show was scrapped when the series ended.

Normally, when the hit dating show’s season comes to an end, the finalists will enjoy a wrap-up party.

But after this year’s winter series finale and the cash prize awarded to the winning couple, there will be no more popping bottles or dancing moves.

Mike told us, “Unfortunately we don’t have a closing party because as soon as it’s over we literally start tearing down the whole set immediately.

“The villa is someone’s house – budgets and all! Literally as soon as the live final ends, it’s done.

“It used to be a guest house and you can rent the rooms but I think they changed it now and you can rent everything.

The incredible South African villa is the biggest and “sexiest” yet, according to Mike.

The owners of the villa took it over two years ago and renovated it.

The couple are both top triathletes and wanted this to reflect their athletic journey.

Bosses have splurged for £1.2million renting the glamorous South African mansion, which hosts singles for the winter New Year edition.

And there’s a naughtier twist than ever inside.

The Hideaway, which is now dubbed the Hideaway Retreat, will feature a closet “full of naughty things” that producers have dubbed “Fun Time.”

The glamorous space has its own plunge pool so islanders can spend some one-on-one time in style.

The Sun Trap is said to be perfect for ‘extended periods’ thanks to the outdoor space.

And the latest addition to the villa is the brand new tree house, which offers picture perfect views of the distant mountains.

It has football and rugby pitches, a 400m running track and zip lines, as well as mountain bike trails.

The estate covers 25 acres in a wine valley near Cape Town.

The mansion has 17 rooms and a tree house, as well as a T-shaped swimming pool.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
