Colo Colo will kick off the 2023 National Championship against Deportes Copiapó as a visitor on the weekend of January 21. The visit will take place at the Luis Valenzuela Hermosilla stadium.

It is precisely this sports venue that has rarely received the Eternal Champion and, if we talk about infrastructure, it must be mentioned that it is a synthetic field and has a capacity for 8,500 people.

The stadium reopened in 2011 and is part of Phase 2 of the Red de Estadios Bicentenario. It is worth mentioning that the first were venues such as the La Florida Bicentennial or the Nelson Oyarzún de Chillán. It is also suitable to receive Class A meetings.

But let’s go back to Colo Colo. The Cacique has gone twice to the Luis Valenzuela Hermosilla, adding a win and a loss. The first visit was against Deportes Antofagasta in 2012 with a 1-2 victory.

On the other hand, the second time that the Eternal Champion went to the city of Copiapó was to face Deportes Iquique, losing 3-2. Today the Cacique will have to visit this stadium for the third time and we will have to wait for the validation of the authorities to find out if there will be a visiting public.
