ANDthe president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silvaquestioned this Thursday the choice of Carlo Ancelotti as a future selector Brazil and declared himself a “fan” of the newly named Fernando Diniz.

“He was never the coach of Italy. Why doesn’t he solve the problem of Italy, who didn’t even play in the last World Cup?”Lula asked himself about Ancelotti during an interview on the channel sbtwhich advanced some excerpts before its broadcast.

At the same time, Lula defended the “creativity and personality” of Diniz, the current Fluminense coach and interim coach, and trusted that he “will make the most of” the opportunity he has at the helm of Canarinha, despite what he considers a lack of “quality” of current Brazilian soccer. “The problem is not Diniz; the problem is that we don’t have the quality of players that we had in other times”said the president.

The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), ednaldo rodriguesassured on Wednesday at a press conference that Ancelotti will assume command in mid-2024, but did not clarify whether the Italian, with a contract at Real Madrid until June 30 of next year, has already signed a pre-agreement.

Meanwhile, Diniz said in that same presentation that the CBF leaders guaranteed him that he will have total freedom and autonomy to impose his style of play without having to listen to anyone, referring to the Italian.
