Annoyed by the critics, Jean-Michel Aulas defended his team’s results. The president of Olympique Lyonnais wrote a long press release to respond to his detractors and reassure the supporters.
“The frustration and the pain, I share it with all those who love OL, wrote the leader on Twitter. (…) Should everything be burned for all that? When I open the press or listen to the radio , and that I hear some from Paris thinking that we are finished, and who obviously constantly invite us to come and react to their homes to feed the buzz machine.

After the whistles against Rayan Cherki, the president of Les Gones also asked the fans not to attack the players, and especially the youngsters, “because it is under the encouragement that they will obtain the best results and not the whistles which will know too well how to take advantage of the mermaids who want to attract them into their nets.”
