Anthony Lopes (6): vigilant on a header from Kumbedi towards his goal and a tight shot from Gastien, the Portuguese goalkeeper pulled out all the stops shortly before the hour mark on a floating shot from Andric. He played his match and can’t do anything about Cham’s counter-penalty.
Sal Kumbedi (5): the young defender made a barely correct copy. He had a lot of trouble in his placement in the first period and is not far from deceiving Lopes on a corner. Before the break, however, he got his team’s best opportunity on a cross shot repelled by Diaw. Good and less good.
Sinaly Diomande (6): a hassle-free exit for the Ivorian central defender. He rather formed a good pair with Lukeba, leaving little space for the Clermont attackers.
Castello Lukeba (5): a good game for the central defense manager … until this terrible hand in the area on Kyei’s delivery. A single fatal error for his team, beaten on a penalty from Cham.
Damien Da Silva (6): holder of the left-back position, the usual central defender has held his rank rather well. He has secured his lane in front of Allevinah. Difficult to blame him for anything in this meeting.
Thiago Mendes (6): a neutral match. Neither good nor bad, just average. The Brazilian midfielder never tried to speed up the game. He struggled in the last quarter of an hour, failing to get the ball out properly. Replace the 93rd minute with Bradley Barcola (not).
Maxence Caqueret (6): the image of his Brest match, the young midfielder was rather sharp in the duels. He has projected himself a lot without however having success in his actions. Replace 73rd minute with Houssem Aouar (not not).
Tet (4.5): as usual, an irregular performance. He was often very discreet but managed to be dangerous on breakthroughs in the back of the defense. Can do much better. Replace 73rd minute with Romain Faivre (not).
Mathis Ryan Cherki (6): a difficult part to judge for the Lyon playmaker. He was omnipresent in the construction, not hesitating to provoke his opponents. However, he often lacked accuracy in his transmissions with a tendency to carry the ball too much. The young Gone has shown personality but will have to be more precise in the future, especially on set pieces. Replace 73rd minute with Moussa Dembl (not not).
Karl Toko Ekambi (4.5): the Cameroonian striker struggled. He was not very available, not offering enough solutions to his partners. The former Sochalien, however, caused some problems for his opponents by causing the first two yellow cards from Clermont on his axial bores.
Alexandre Lacazette (4): a good start to the match with interesting stalls and well-felt discounts. A much more complicated last hour with few exploitable balloons. He was too little present in front to offer solutions to his partners. Replace the 87th minute with Jeff Reine-Adlade (not).
CLERMONT F. :
Mory Diaw (7): the goalkeeper trained at Paris Saint-Germain did the job. He was sure on his line against the attempts of Caqueret, Tet or even Kumbedi. Reassuring for his defenders.

Mateusz Wieteska (7): quickly warned for a stamp on Toko Ekambi, the Pole still managed to do with this handicap. He had no trouble extinguishing a very uninspired Lacazette.
Florent Ogier (7): taking advantage of the absence of Caufriez, the Clermont captain was good. He never wavered on the attacks of Lacazette and Tet, allowing himself to make quality raises to break the first curtain of Lyon.
Jim Allevinah (6): the Gabonese was content to do the defensive work by blocking his lane well to prevent the timid climbs of Toko Ekambi. He was serious in his task. On the other hand, we hardly saw him in front. Replace the 72nd minute with Muhammad Cham (not)scorer on a penalty late in the game.
Yohann Magnin (6.5): he formed a good level double pivot with Gastien. Its positioning has allowed its defenders to systematically have a solution to circumvent the Lyon pressure. Good recovery.
