Enrico Maassen from FC Augsburg looks back positively on his time at Borussia Dortmund. In an interview with the ‘Ruhr Nachrichten’, the trainer says: “I have very happy and very successful years in my memory. We got promoted to the 3rd league and safely managed to stay up there. And we took a lot of players to another level.” He describes his move to FCA as “next logical step” and one “Wish”which the BVB “corresponded” has.

Maassen has been a coach in Augsburg since last summer. Before that, the 38-year-old spent two years on the sidelines of Borussia Dortmund II. Positioned 14th, he and his team will meet their former club at the start of the year on Sunday (3:30 p.m.).
