Former President Mauricio Macri today questioned the Government about inflation, after it was known last Friday that the rate for April was 8.4 percent. He did it through a letter published on his social networks.

The text of the former head of state is titled “They never wanted to lower inflation.” There he strongly targeted President Alberto Fernández and Economy Minister Sergio Massa.

“It is inaccurate to say that the government of the Fernández and Sergio Massa is failing in its fight against inflation because they are not even trying. They have not taken a single measure in these years to lower inflation. Neither price controls nor parapolice patrols in supermarkets they are useless,” says Macri.

The former president pointed against the monetary issue and called for order in the public accounts and continued: “But they refuse to do that because their political culture is based on not taking charge of anything and because they have mistaken, old and marginal ideas about why it exists inflation”.
