It happened this Saturday on the Paraná River under the bridge. The vessel, which has a load capacity of 33,862 deadweight tons, collided with the Zárate Brazo-Largo bridge, the impact was such that it “shaked” the entire structure, according to witnesses. Luckily there were no injuries or serious damage.

Except for the ship that suffered significant damage to the bow of more than ten meters long.

In recordings of neighbors who witnessed the sequence, it is possible to see the conditions in which the Maltese-flagged ship was left after the crash.

The Maltese-flagged ship was traveling towards San Nicolás to unload at the Ternium company dock and ended up hitting one of the protections of the international bridge piles.

“Here we are, the ship collided with the bridge, it made it tremble. In the bow it has a gap of about 10 meters, the Prefecture has not even appeared yet, so good, we saved ourselves from the fact that the bridge did not fall,” said one of the neighbors present at the event, as reported by the M1 site.

An investigation was opened to try to establish the reasons that caused the impact.
