The broadcast in SVT1 was also down for a couple of minutes.

Exactly when the red and blue line will start again is not entirely certain. According to SL’s website, traffic on the blue line is expected to be up and running again at 07.30.

– We have had disruptions on the subway and local trains. We need to put out power to the red and blue lines again, which are standing still in the inner city, says Helene Jakobsson.

The inner city was affected

According to the Traffic Administration in the Stockholm region, it was a power outage at Svenska Kraftnät that hit Stockholm’s inner city that caused the disturbance.

It is unclear how it will continue to affect morning traffic on Wednesday.

– There may be delays and trains may have to turn around. We urge travelers to pay attention to signage and keep an eye on SL’s app, says Helene Jakobsson.

No major delays for SJ trains

SJ says that their train services have not had any major disruptions as a result of the power outage, although individual trains may have been affected for a shorter period of time.

– We have seen that there was a power switch for some reason, but we have no reports of any major delays, says Dan Olofsson on SJ’s press call.

Svenska Kraftnät states that they are investigating the cause of the power outage.

– We have ascertained what happened and are in the process of reviewing what caused the power outage. We do not know whether it is our facilities or the regional ones that have failed at the moment. At the moment we have nothing more to share, says Joel Nylin, press communicator at Svenska Kraftnät.
