A new anthem by the British star composer Andrew Lloyd Webber is after the coronation of King Charles III. can also be heard in numerous churches in the country.

The score had been distributed to 6,000 churches so that they could play “Make A Joyful Noise” (German for: Make happy noise) at their services, the British news agency PA reported on Sunday night.

Lloyd Webber (“Cats”) composed the song specifically for Saturday’s ceremony, where it was premiered at Westminster Abbey after the coronation of Charles and Queen Camilla.

The composition was an “antidote” after his son died of cancer a few weeks ago, Lloyd Webber told Channel 4 TV. (dpa)
