Man drowns in Kaweah River inside Sequoia National Park

TULARE COUNTY, California – A rescue team arrived at Sequoia National Park to attend to a drowning in the Kaweah River, which runs through the park.

Authorities are at the scene of the drowning, however, they have not revealed the condition of the victim.

At about 2 pm, the emergency was reported near Camp Potwisha, where elements of the Tulare County Sheriff’s and Fire Rescue Swift Rescue Team arrived.
