Two minors disappeared after a man, identified as “Erick”, murdered their grandmother inside her home in the municipality of Tecámac, in the State of Mexico.

According to the investigations, in the early hours of January 19, the sisters Isabella and Daniela Espinosa Valle, only 14 and 10 years old, respectively, received a reception at their home located on Campania street, in the Royal Housing Unit of Verona. , a friend and said subject.

But they were not alone, because their 70-year-old grandmother flatly refused to give them permission to go out with them, which would have motivated Erick to stab her with a knife while the friend was in the bathroom. Upon hearing the screams and laments, she fled the place and notified the neighbors.

When elements of the Municipal Guard and Civil Protection arrived, they only found the elderly woman without vital signs in the property.

Upon arrival, the parents of the minors reported that Isabella had met Erick through social networks and that she was dating him, so he would be responsible for the femicide and could have his daughters in his possession.

In this regard, since January 20, both the Commission for the Search for Persons of the State of Mexico (Cobupem) and the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) issued a search alert, which was shared on social networks by their family and friends. .

In addition, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico has already taken up the case and is working to locate Erick and the minors.

According to the investigation “Disappearance of adolescent women, girls and boys in the State of Mexico and their link to sexual exploitation or human trafficking for this or other purposes” carried out by the Network for the Rights of Children in Mexico (REDIM) and the National Commission for the Search for Disappeared Persons (CNB), presented this Tuesday, the majority of the victims of disappearances in the entity are women between 12 and 17 years of age.

The same study reveals that, contrary to the popular belief that disappearances occur because the victims are on the streets late at night, it is between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. when most of these types of cases are recorded. .

In the State of Mexico, as indicated in the study, the main objectives that criminals have to carry out this crime are: to carry out criminal and illegal activities, sexual exploitation and illegal adoption; while, when the cases are related to femicides, four main modalities have been identified: domestic violence, sexual assault, serial aggressors and related to criminal activities.

According to the data from the study, presented last Wednesday, the State of Mexico ranks first nationwide in the number of accumulated cases of disappeared girls, adolescents, and women.

In the case of the Tecámac minors, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) is working on the investigation to clarify how the specific events occurred and to continue with the actions and procedures to find their whereabouts.
