ALAMEDA – And man in California has been arrested after killing shots to its wife, are son child and the wife’s parents, police said Thursday.
Another young son was also shot and is in the hospital in critical condition, Alameda police said. The shooting, which police called a “tragic domestic incident,” occurred in the 400 block of Kitty Hawk Road.
Police have not released the name of the suspect, but the identity of the man who shot his family was unofficially revealed to be Shane Parrish Killian, 54, who is in custody after being accused of shooting and killing his wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law and young son on Wednesday.
Shane Parrish Killian, 54, faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, according to jail records.
The Alameda Police Department said it recovered several firearms from the home.
He added that an individual reported that a neighbor had been shot at a home on Kitty Hawk Road in the city of Alameda on Wednesday night. Upon arrival, officers saw the victim, along with other family members, some fatally wounded by gunfire.
Three victims, two adults and one child, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims were taken to the hospital. On Thursday, police confirmed the death of a third adult.
“Police remain at the scene gathering evidence and we will provide further information on this terrible loss of life when it becomes available,” the agency said.
There is no indication that there is any continuing threat to the public, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
