Margot Robbie addresses the possibility of Barbie 2 happening

After the extensive Hollywood strikes, Margot Robbie is finally addressing her projects publicly, including Barbie, which has a high chance of getting a sequel.

When granting an interview for the AP Entertainmentthe main actress of Greta Gerwig’s film, broke the silence about the possibility of returning to the doll’s pink world.

“I think we put everything into this one. We didn’t plan it to be a trilogy or anything like that. It was like Greta pulled out all the stops for this movie, so I can’t imagine what a second movie could be like.”

Although the idea seems distant, the director herself has already made it clear that she does not rule out the possibility, although she is busy with other projects on her agenda.

Barbie positively impacted the film market in 2023, becoming the biggest release of the year, grossing an incredible US$1.4 billion at the global box office.

The film is expected to join the HBO Max catalog in 2023, while it is currently available for digital rental.
