Do you remember the post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming? In it, Marvel fans were promised that the friendly neighborhood spider would soon have to deal with a new super villain: Mac Cargan aka The Scorpion, who is portrayed by Michael Mando in the film.

But to date – six years later – the teaser hasn’t really paid off. And this despite the fact that Spider-Man (Tom Holland) was given two more solo films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and also played a role in the battles of the Avengers or in the TV series on Disney Plus.

Especially fans of Michael Mandofor example in Better Call Saul as Nacho Varga or the video game Far Cry 3 in the role of Vaas Montenegro, have been waiting impatiently for his return to the MCU ever since. And if we are to believe an established industry insider, it should actually happen now.

Is Michael Mando returning to the MCU after 6 years?

MyTimeToShineHello X (formerly Twitter) says Michael Mandos more correct Appearance as Marvel villain Scorpion. However, it is not known when, in which film and what capacity.

Of course, the most obvious would be for Mando to appear as Cargan in Spider-Man’s next solo film, which has not yet been released in theaters. Cargan could also play a role in the new Daredevil series Born Again with Charlie Cox.

Who was Mac Cargan aka The Scorpion again?

In case you need a little memory refresher: In Homecoming, Spider-Man and Mac Gargan’s paths already cross. The friendly neighborhood spider intervenes in a planned arms deal between Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) and Garcan, in the course of which the latter is seriously injured and receives a nasty scar on his face.

Gargan is arrested by the FBI and we don’t see him again until after the end of the film. In the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Toomes and Cargan meet again in prison. Cargan promises that he is out for revenge against Spider-Man and that he will get help from a few people friends is supported. Since then, things have been quiet about The Scorpion in the MCU.

Wait: Of course, Michael Mando’s return as Scorpion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has not been officially confirmed and fans shouldn’t get excited too soon. However, the originator of the rumor is considered trustworthy, so the chances of this happening might actually not be too bad.
