According to a report published on the website of Alpha Beta Playin the 2014 Thanos annual volume, the Mad Titan created an amazing strategy that you can use to return to the current MCU timeline.
In that comic, the Titan used the Cosmic Cube, an object that can control matter and energy, responding to the will of sentient beings using it, but ended up dying and being sentenced to hell with Mephisto.
However, his salvation comes when a future version of himself appears who, with the Time Stone, realizes that he would soon lose the gems and the Gauntlet, so he creates an evil plan to immortalize himself.
How could Thanos return to the MCU?
Thanos creates 12 avatars or versions of himself and sends them through time to investigate mysteries of the cosmos.a revelation made precisely by one of the clones who is on a mission to find out how he survived his encounter with the Cosmic Cube, since he has no memories of that moment.
The Titan of the past who was condemned in hell escapes with the help of one of the avatars of the future Thanos, but all his memories of the Cube are erased.
That Thanos ever created 12 avatars and distributed them across the multiverse doesn’t just give him a but 12 different possibilities to return. If he did it in the MCU and we weren’t told anything, the Titan might come back.
