It has surely not escaped anyone that HBO’s hotly anticipated adaptation of The Last of Us premiered on Monday and the first episode has apparently disappointed few. On IMDB, the series currently has a rating of 9.6 and with that it has passed Breaking Bad and is currently number one, just ahead of Bluey and the already mentioned Breaking Bad.

How did the premiere go? Well, very well, a whopping 4.41 million watched the premiere episode on Monday, making The Last of Us HBO’s second best premiere in ten years. What attracted the most viewers was, to no one’s surprise, the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon, which drew close to ten million viewers at its premiere.

The Last of Us continues on HBO Max every Monday for eight more weeks, and there are probably a lot of us who can’t make it to the second episode.

Did you see the premiere of The Last of Us last Monday?

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay have both been praised for their roles as Joel and Ellie.
