You see, because MJ and Peter Parker they haven’t been together for a while, it is currently unknown when and how Mary Jane received her own superpowers. However, the specific powers themselves are very revealing, likely referencing Spider-Man’s past during the Brand New Day storyline.
in the new comic Mary Jane & Black Cat #1 by Jed MacKay and Vincenzo Carratu, Felicia Hardy he feels the need to make sure Mary Jane is safe during Chasm and Madelyne Pryor’s demonic takeover in New York. However, she is shocked to discover that MJ is more than fine, protecting herself and the new family from her using new powers from a collection of demonically possessed kitchen appliances.
By joining the fight with Black Cat, it is revealed that Mary Jane is wearing a device on her wrist that allows her to reach out and select a new power-up at random, such as a slot machine. As such, it stands to reason that Mary Jane is finally becoming Jackpot’s own version of her in the Marvel Universe.
Now, it looks like Mary Jane is finally becoming a new version of Jackpot in the Marvel Universe, though the source of her powers and where she got the device is currently unknown. However, it has also been established that spider-man she has no idea that MJ has these powers, and tells Black Cat that she wants to keep it that way.
As such, she likely got the powers during the time she was separated from Peter with her new family, as she left Spider-Man after the still unknown and mysterious thing Peter did 6 months prior to this current Amazing Spider-Man series.
