The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, travels to Washington this Wednesday to participate in the Spring Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, and hold meetings with officials of the Fund and other international organizations and the Government of the United States . Massa will travel accompanied by the Ministry’s chief adviser, Leonardo Madcur, and the International Relations adviser, Gustavo Martínez Pandiani.

Before arriving in the US, the head of the Palacio de Hacienda will make a stopover in the Dominican Republic, where he will meet with the US Undersecretary of State, Wendy Sherman, who will arrive in Argentina in the coming days.

In the US capital, the minister will hold a meeting with the first deputy managing director of the IMF, Gita Gopinath, in view of the new review of the program with Argentina. He will also participate in a meeting, along with other ministers from the region, with the new director of the Western Hemisphere Department, Chilean Rodrigo Valdez, who will formally take office in May.

With the head of the multilateral organization, Kristalina Georgieva, she will meet in the framework of a meeting with ministers from the region and the rest of the hemisphere (Canada and the United States).

Within the framework of this international agenda, the leader of the Frente Renovador will hold bilateral meetings with the OECD Secretary General, Mathias Cormann, the Vice President of the World Bank, Anna Berdje, and with his Colombian counterpart, José Ocampo.
