Step.- A party in Horizon City did not have a happy ending, since the death of a minor due to shooting was reported.
It was 1:33 am today, when elements of the Horizon Police Department were sent to the desert area of Batavia St. in reference to a party in the depopulated area where shots were fired.
When officers arrived, they found more than 200 people. The Sheriff’s Office can confirm that an adult female was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to her.
An underage male was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was requested and took over the investigation, which is in its preliminary stages. There is no further information at this time.
