Matamoros Police Find Kidnapped Man Inside Stolen Truck in Texas

CIUDAD VICTORIA, Tamaulipas.- Police in Matamoros found a man handcuffed and blindfolded inside a Chevrolet Tahoe truck that had been reported stolen in Texas.

As reported this Friday, July 7, by the Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office, the man had been kidnapped two days ago and was found in the Fuentes Industriales subdivision of the Matamoros municipality. So far the authorities have not revealed the name of this person.

During the incident, the police seized three cars, long weapons, cartridges and tactical equipment. Precisely, in the vehicle where the kidnapped person was, two long weapons and cartridges were also found.

The rescue of this man occurred after a person reported to the emergency numbers that there were armed people in the aforementioned subdivision. It was then that agents moved to the place and located the kidnapping victim, who was brought to safety and said that he was deprived of his liberty two days ago.

Related to this incident, two abandoned cars were located, a Ford Crown Victoria model, as well as a Mercury, Milan model, inside which they found long weapons, useful cartridges, tactical equipment and metallic objects known as strike-throughs.

All the vehicles were seized and made available to the Attorney General of the Republic.
