Mexico City- The 12 Warriors finally knew their destiny for the Basketball World Cup.
They will play in Manila, and they got a group that makes the fans dream.
The draw was held this Saturday and they played in Group D, where they will share with Lithuania, Montenegro and Egypt.
The Mexican National Team will open its participation in the World Cup against Montenegro on Friday, August 25, and then play on the 27th against the powerhouse of the grumpy, Lithuania.
And it will close the first round on Tuesday, August 29 against Egypt.
Lithuania is the eighth country in the FIBA World Ranking and boasts NBA players like Domantas Sabonis and Jonas Valanciunas; Montenegro on 18, Mexico on 31, and Egypt on 55.
The headquarters of the games in Mexico will be the Mall Of Asia.
Mexico will play its second World Cup in almost half a century. They return to action, since the last time was in Spain in 2014.
For this edition the Cup will play in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan.
Omar Quintero, coach of the Tri, was in the draw held in the Philippines.
In the next few days he will announce his work plan and a possible tour in Europe.
