Melina Johnsen (26) was on everyone’s lips after she participated in the first season of the reality series “Ex on the beach” and “71 degrees north – Norway’s toughest celebrity”. During the Gullruten in 2019, she also won the prize for participant of the year.
In 2021, the reality star had her life turned upside down, after she was convicted of driving under the influence of drugs.
The sentence resulted in Johnsen having to wear an ankle chain. She moved out of Oslo and back to her hometown of Fredrikstad.
– I had to move home after everything that happened. I needed a break from the environment I was in – in Oslo. I was in a vicious circle when I lived there. There was a lot of partying and drugs, Johnsen told Good Evening Norway when we visited the reality profile in connection with the drunk driving.

Dreaming of Shall we dance
Johnsen retreated from the limelight after the conviction.
When God kveld Norge did an interview with Johnsen in the autumn, the reality star said that she was grateful that it happened.
– The serving time itself was also good. I felt I grew a lot during that period. Then I was only with myself.
She could also say that she had a great focus on herself, and wanted to maintain a healthier lifestyle with exercise and a better diet.
In a new interview with God kveld Norge, Johnsen can say that she will take the same goals with her into 2023.
– The plan is really to just focus on myself and become the best version of myself, she says.
Furthermore, the reality star says that she hopes for more media-related job offers in 2023.
– My dream has always been Shall we dance, that is absolutely number one, she says and continues:
– It’s because I love to dance and move.
She adds that she had not turned down any reality participations.
Takes the relationship a step further
Earlier this autumn, the reality profile could reveal that she had someone in her sights, but that they were not lovers yet.
Now she confirms to Good Evening Norway that she has found a boyfriend.
– Yes, I’ve got a girlfriend. We have a great time together.
However, she does not want to reveal who her chosen one is.
Johnsen shares that she and her boyfriend met after she had taken off her anklet.
– We met through the internet, and have talked an incredible amount together. Then we met for the first time in person on Halloween last year.
The reality profile reveals that she celebrated New Year’s Eve with her boyfriend in Prague.
Furthermore, she does not want to reveal much about the relationship, but can say that they may take the relationship a step further in 2023.
