Meloni strengthens her position as Prime Minister in Italy with polls that support her government

Fratelli d’Italia, the party of the Italian prime minister Giorgia Melonidoes not stop growing in the polls.

The last one, published by the television La7, shows a growth of 0.5 points since the previous poll, dated July 24.

According to this electoral support poll, the party of Meloni would obtain 29.2% of the votes and could re-form a government with the support of its current partners, La Lega and Forza Italia.

By contrast, the main rival of Meloni and his Fratelli d’Italia, the socialist Partito Democratico of Elly Schleinwould obtain 19.6% of the votes, insufficient to aspire to reach Palazzo Chigi, seat of government.

The Lega would obtain 9.6% of the votes and Forza Italy 7.2%. The hypothetical partners of a left-wing government chaired by the Partito Democrático, Movimento 5 Stelle and Verdi e Sinistra, would obtain 16% and 3.2% of the votes.

Other potential partners in a Schlein government, the azione liberals and the centrists of +Europa and Italia Viva, would obtain 3.6%, 2.5% and 2.7% of the votes, respectively.

The poll, however, also shows a large percentage of undecided. 40% of those surveyed did not express themselves on their preferred political formation for future elections.

On August 4, the Meloni government achieved a new parliamentary victory, and further shore up a legislature that, contrary to recent political tradition in Italy, is showing itself to be tremendously stable, by approving the tax reform.

“A structural reform and organic that embodies a clear vision of development and growth that Italy has been waiting for fifty years”, expressed Meloni, emphasizing that, in a few months of government, she achieved a step that no government before her had managed to take.

“Less taxes for families and companies, fairer and more balanced taxes, more money in payrolls and lower rates for those who risk and undertake in Italy, with simpler and faster procedures,” he added.
