in control of Uspallataagents of the Customs They were checking a truck from Chile when they found two Colombian citizens undocumented immigrants trying to enter the country hiding in the bottom of a container.
Covered with quilts, the men traveled from the neighboring country in a truck carrying an imported load. Thus they reached the control in Mendoza where, upon being surprised by the customs agents, they tried to escape.
It was then that the Gendarmerie intervened and issued the alert after detaining the Colombian citizens, who are around 30 years old.
“The two young people were covered with bedspreads, between the end of the container and the lid of the truck,” they revealed from Customs, and also assured that “they were without documentation to identify them and with the intention of entering the country illegally.”
