Merida dump catches fire, leaves huge column of smoke
From the early hours of the morning, a thick smoke screen could be seen in the peripheral west of Meridaafter the reported fire of dump city council.

According to what was found, the events occurred in the sanitary landfill located in the Susulá police station.
It is presumed that the incident got out of control due to the flammable materials in the area, for which the presence of the fire brigade aboard several tank cars, who tried to put out the flames.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that this type of accident has occurred in the sanitary landfill, which can represent a risk to public health due to water and air contamination.
