The residents of the El Zorzal de Pontevedra neighborhood, in Merlo, found a bizarre scene when they saw that a thief had been trapped upside down, hanging from the gate of a house where he had robbed on Juana Azurduy street.

Police sources confirmed that the thief entered the house at noon, and that while he was checking the property, the owner arrived, who is a sheet metal worker and works in Merlo.

The homeowner tried to fight the thief but he attacked him with a knife. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The criminal tried to escape with a hair straightener and a recorder, but his right foot got stuck in the fence and that’s how the neighbors found him who called the police.

Ariel Arcángel Ledesma, 48, was arrested and placed at the disposal of the Morón Prosecutor’s Office No. 1 for the crimes of attempted robbery and minor injuries.
