The regional airline Mesa Airlines, which operates United flights, is going through a delicate moment with negative results, posting a loss of $47.6 million in the third quarter.
The airline flew about half a million United Express passengers on its CRJ fleet in the third quarter and will focus on increasing block hours for its E-175s going forward.
On the other hand, it is focused on recruiting 150 more pilots to meet United’s fleet utilization goals.
Last year, as revealed REPORTUR.us, Mesa had agreed with the pilots to pay the highest salary of the regional airlines.
