Mexican actor David Ostrosky died at the age of 66, his manager and the National Association of Interpreters (ANDI) reported Thursday on social networks.

The organization added: “He is remembered for his performances in great soap operas such as ‘El vuelo del águila’ and ‘La antorcha ignited’, his last work was ”Vencer la ausencia'”.

“We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends on behalf of the ANDI Board of Directors and Surveillance Committee,” the statement concluded.

Ostrosky is also recognized for his portrayal of “Dr. Salomón Cohen” in the hit Netflix series “La casa de las flores”, in which he participated alongside Verónica Castro.

Meanwhile, his manager, Jaime Jaramillo, posted an emotional message on his Instagram account.

“Dear David, I’m going to miss those talks in which, despite your extensive career, you always humbly asked my opinion to make the decision for your next project. I remember that difficult decision to travel to Spain to record ‘Vis a Vis’ , a risky adventure but one that left you with great satisfaction, just like the discovery of the new possibilities that ‘La casa de las flores’ meant,” he said.

Jaramillo concluded: “I will always remember you as a true gentleman, a kind, generous, educated, respectful, cultured being, with great love for your career. Thank you for believing and trusting me, I will be eternally grateful to you. Rest in peace.”

David Ostrosky was born in Mexico City on December 1, 1956.
